Is it time to radically overhaul the Irish education system?
Covid-19 provided an opportunity to reform the Irish education system and the work has already begun. The CAO process has been changed to broaden the choice for students but should we go further and finally end the Leaving Cert points race?
Hosted by Colm Markey MEP, this event heard from the person in charge of leading the change – Minister for Further & Higher Education Simon Harris.
Prof. Tom Collins spoke about his extensive background in community education while Emer Neville outlined the perspectives of second level students. Finally, Owen Patrick Ward spoke about inclusivity and his journey to becoming the first Irish Traveller elected to a University Governing authority in Ireland.
